Description
Since we never see the parents of Dipper & Mabel, and Alex has said that it's unlikely they will ever appear I decided to make Sarah Hawkins (From Treasure Planet) their mother, at least in my fic universe where Mabel & Dipper enter situations that require them to have their mom present.
I'm ignoring canon since they are mentioned in the show but it's not that big of a deal for me. It's nowhere near as canon destroying as the "Frost Family" thing is, where Jack Frost and Rapunzel are the parents to Elsa & Anna. Even duo we saw the parents of Elsa & Anna and they look nothing at all like Rapunzel and Jack, That's canon to some people.
So if I'm going to have one thing where I ignore main established canon is this one, make Dipper and Mabel have cool parents. But the big reason why, I really don't want to fall to that old annoying trope where the parents don't show up at all tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php…
It's funny how some studios try every gimmick to relate their characters to kids but miss on one big relatable factor ... PARENTS! Just how many kids are orphans or have parents that allow their kids so much freedom? And don't even get me started on Anime where they don't even exist. I just want one kid who's parents are present in their daily lives. There is no shame in having a Mom & Dad that care for the safety of their kids.
